Weather closings & Make up days:
When needing information on closing due to inclement weather, please
call the studio after 3:00 p.m.
Make-up classes will be scheduled for any classes missed. As the
2008-2009 session is leading up to our annual recital, it is imperative
that every effort is made to attend any make-up classes.
Attendance:
Attendance is a must! The 2008-2009 session
leads up to the studio’s recital. It is imperative that students attend
classes each week to prepare for the recital. The attendance policy for
participation in the recital is as follows: STUDENTS MISSING MORE THAN
4 CLASSES THROUGHOUT THE SEADON WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE RECITAL.
The Diamond State Dancers and Cheerleader staff expends a great deal of
time, effort and energy in preparation for our recital. We ask for
cooperation from all students to ensure that the recital is a success
for all. Notification must be given by the first week of January if a
student will not be participating in the recital. The commitment that
you are making is attendance at both shows.
Parent Responsibilities/Participation:
Parents are responsible for monthly tuition
payments on a timely basis as well as their child’s attire and
attendance. You will be contacted if payments are not made in
accordance with the tuition payment schedule. The 2008-2009 seasons
will include various performances throughout the year and finishes with
our year-end recital.
Parents of younger students are required to stay at the studio during
their child’s class. Occasionally, there are times when a student must
be excused during class and someone must be available to attend to
their needs. Unfortunately, when this does occur and the parent has
left the studio, it forces the instructor to halt class to attend to
the child, thereby, reducing the instruction time for the remaining
students. Parents are also responsible for checking the studio desk for
current correspondence/information. The studio is not responsible for
your child’s delivery of material to you. Your cooperation on these
issues is imperative and appreciated.
All parents are required to participate as back-stage assistants for
one rehearsal and one show in order for you child to particiape in the
end of year recital. Due to the lack of participation and shortage of
help during the recitals, a $30.00 fee will be assessed if you do not
sign up for back-stage responsibilities. If this fee is not paid your
child may not participate in the recital. Assistance is also needed
with coordination of various events throughout the year. i.e. parties
for the students. Any help or assistance you can offer will benefit the
event and will be greatly appreciated. You are responsible for one (1)
fundraiser. This helps offset the cost of props, gymnastics equipment,
cheerleading equipment, etc. If anyone is reported not cooperating with
backstage personnel, you will be asked to leave and you may not return
the following year.

venues, parades, malls and convalescent homes throughout the year. We

but prices should start at $60.00 per costume. Dancers with multiple

payments, by all parents, are not paid by the specified due date, your
child will not receive a costume. If you join classes in January or
